Congratulations to our students of 2023–2024 and 2024–2025 who came together to celebrate their achievements at our awards evening; it was lovely to see so many learners attend. Each learner received a certificate portfolio containing all their awards and achievements for the year and a commemorative gift.
After spending four years at Liberty, Marcus has now moved on to new ventures. During the ceremony he made an emotional speech, thanking the staff and learners that have helped him during his four years at Liberty. He especially thanked Anna, saying it was an honour to have been taught by her.
Marcus said that throughout his time with us he had lots of fun and made many friends; especially Chelsea who was with him at the start of his time here - he said that he could never have asked for a better friend. Marcus also said that he went on some amazing trips, found his confidence and stated that Liberty was like his second family. He finished his speech by thanking Jojo and Michelle for building such a great place for young people with special needs and of course, left us with a Marcus Special Quote.
Tyler received Liberty’s Honorary Learner of the Year Award. Throughout his time with us Tyler demonstrated incredible resilience and perseverance. He always had a positive attitude with exemplary behaviour, hard work and motivation. He has made amazing progress: transforming from a learner who didn’t wish to socialise, to someone with excellent social skills and a positive friendship group. Tyler is an outstanding team player who has mentored other learners and actively looked for work experience and employment opportunities. He was also Head of the YPG due to having great leadership and organisational skills. Tyler has now successfully gained a place at EKC.
