Liberty College marked the 80th anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe Day) with a whole college event. The anniversary honours the end of World War II in Europe and the sacrifices made during the conflict.
Each group participated in activities relating to the era. Our Purple groups wrote letters from the past and the Hair & Beauty group created 1940's hair styles using Victory Rolls for learners and staff. Liberty’s Construction and LBC groups made a VE Day photo booth as well as a WWII soldier silhouette. Thanks you to our Site manager, Ana, for creating a street party atmosphere by decorating the Grub Hub and our catering team, Maria & Caroline, for preparing a fabulous street party style lunch for the whole college.
