Welcome to the Advisory Board for Liberty College.
Our Advisory Board provides governance and support by strengthening oversight, accountability, and strategic direction for the college. The board members offer independent advice on long-term planning, review and test our vision, mission, and educational outcomes and bring external perspectives to all aspects of college life, including curriculum, business, safeguarding and finance.
As an Advisory Board we act for the college as a whole – learners, parents, and staff. Our remit is strategic in nature with the operational running of the college being the responsibility of the Directors, Head of College, and the Senior Leadership Team.
The Advisory Board for Liberty College come from all different walks of life and are drawn from the staff, parent body and representatives from the local community, to ensure that we have the collective skills and knowledge required to oversee the development of the college and the delivery of quality education to SEND learners. Apart from the Staff Advisors, we are not employed by the college. Whilst most of the Advisory Board are in full time employment, we aim to engage with the life of the college as much as possible, attending graduation ceremonies, parent events and any other gatherings.
