" There's not so many people at Liberty, you can go to the toilet and you don't have to ask! " Lauren
Liberty Training is based in a fantastic new centre at Westwood Cross in Margate, which is easily accessible as the bus stop is only a few minutes walk from the centre.
Inside our training centre, you will find friendly and comfortable surroundings with Wi-Fi throughout that you can use during your breaks. Our centre is fully accessible with a lift and accessible toilet facilities.
This is where our learners spend their break times and have their lunch. There are comfortable sofas as well as dining tables and chairs.
This is where our learners spend their break times. Liberty College has bean bags, comfortable chairs and sofas in all recreation areas and the Chill Zone also has pool tables, table football and games you can play if it's too cold to go outside.

If the Chill Zone is too noisy for you or you need a time out from lessons, the Zen Zone is a quiet area. This is a safe space where you can have some time to calm and relax, away from any sensory overload. We have sensory support tools to help you regulate your emotions either with or without staff support.
The Skills Centre has 13 training rooms including a fully equipped Training Salon and Art Studio, there is also a purpose built Construction Workshop and Mechanics Workshop on site. We are also very proud of our Liberty College Allotment where our Horticulture and Land Based Construction learners spend much of their time.
The Liberty College Allotment is an exciting outdoor space where students learn by doing important hands-on work. It is part of our Land-Based Studies course and gives learners the chance to work on real allotment plots, growing food and helping the community. Students take part in everything, from planning what to grow and planting seeds to harvesting fruit and vegetables and preparing them for use in college.
They learn how to grow food in an environmentally friendly way and aim to produce 365kg of fresh produce each year. Learners grow lots of different crops, build and look after the allotment, care for wildlife, and use tools and technology to plan new areas. The food grown is used in college cooking sessions and events. Most importantly, the allotment helps students build confidence and important life skills such as teamwork, responsibility, problem-solving, and pride in their work, helping them prepare for jobs, further learning, or independent living.

We have a fabulous outdoor space where our learners can relax and eat lunch. Our brand new Courtyard is fully accessible and equipped with picnic tables and benches where our learners can spend time with friends during their breaks.
