Our Year 2  course is called Liber8.  This is the progression year for students who have chosen to remain at Liberty for a second year and continue to develop and gain further qualifications. You will continue to get all the Extra Support you need at Liberty and on your work experience placement.

Liber8 also runs for 38 weeks and aims to develop you leadership, life, and independence skills. Team activities are are again incorporated into the programme as well as functional skills. The programme runs for 2 and a half days per week.

Benefit from a further 80+ hours of work experience in your chosen area.

The qualifications that that you can achieve in Year 2 are:

  • Level 2 Health & Safety at Work
  • Level 2 Award in Skills for Further Learning and Employment
  • Maths and English functional skills (we will look at what grades you already have and what level you are working at to help us put you on the right level for you)

You will also continue with Career Specific sessions, where you can do e-learning and distance learning in your chosen subjects with the support from our staff team. For example, if you want to work in health and social care, you can do qualifications in safeguarding and infection control, or if you want to work with food, you can get a food hygiene certificate- and we will cover all the costs!

You will get to study a new subject in the Wednesday sessions too!

You can try a range of new activities and experiences whilst on Liber8 while visiting a few of your favourites from Motiv8.

You will also have the opportunity to attend a 3-night residential stay at Disneyland Paris. This is a great opportunity if you have never left the UK and will give you a chance to develop your independence skills. We can help apply and fund for passports if you do not have one.

At the end of the programme a graduation ceremony is held for you and your family or friends to attend. You will also get to go on more activities, including a final big day out with your group.
