YPG

The YPG is Liberty's Youth Participation Group and is where we give the young people at Liberty a voice by listening and identifying what they would like to change or improve.

Previously the YPG has been able to request new resources like pool tables and recycling bins, these have helped to improve morale and environmental impact of the College. Feedback from learners through surveys and drop in sessions has helped the YPG to update the building, website, and courses.

The YPG meets three times every term to discuss issues, feedback, and upcoming events; each member has been given their own roles with specific responsibilities; these roles include:

• Head of the YPG
• Deputy Head of the YPG
• Student liaison
• Event organiser
• Social media/marketing
• News reporter

The YPG helps learners learn new skills such as, communication, teamwork, leadership, planning and organising, delegating and it also improves confidence and social skills, all of which will look great on your CV.

Anyone is welcome to join the YPG; meetings are held from 12:45pm to 1:15pm, simply ask a member of staff and they will signpost you to when the meetings are being held on the following dates.
