We aim to place you in a suitable placement based on your interests and career aspirations. We have our own dedicated Work Experience & Progressions Coordinator at Liberty to help you achieve your career goals. Take a look at our careers page for more info.

Liberty Training offers learners meaningful work experience opportunities matched to the young person’s needs and interests. Learners are provided with support to prepare for the workplace, learners are supported by our work experience coordinator with the initial meeting with a work experience employer. Learners are supported with transitions meetings to work experience if required.

We support and encourage learners to attend work experience on a regular basis. All learners are encouraged to complete 100 hours in a work experience placement across the academic year, many of our learners complete more than this.

Learners are encouraged to participate in review meetings with our work experience coordinator to regularly reflect on what they have learnt while in a work experience placement. Our work experience coordinator works closely with our work experience employers to gain feedback about learner’s progress. Learners have the opportunity to gain certificates and rewards while they complete their work experience.

We have worked alongside some fantastic local small businesses that have offered work experience opportunities for our learners, some of these include;

  • TAG Pet Rescue Animal Sanctuary
  • Thanet Disabled Riding School
  • Petticoat Lane Emporium
  • Ellington Park Cafe
  • Inclusive Sports
  • HairStation
  • Powell Cotton Museum Garden's
